Description:

A mouth-blown glass dome which fits on its stepped walnut base. A contemporary serving piece for cheese or cakes. Can be placed inside the larger City domes to build a nesting set.

Materials & making:

Skilled glassblowers gather and blow the glass dome into a wooden mould to create the shape. The rim is melted by a flame to create a soft rounded finish. The board is shaped from American walnut and treated with food safe oils to bring out the grain and depth of color. The wood is sourced from sustainably managed forests.

Care:

Handwash the glass in warm soapy water and dry with a soft cloth. Clean the wood with a soft brush or damp cloth. Do not leave immersed in water or place in a dishwasher. Allow to dry naturally.
