Description:

A generous mouth-blown glass cake stand with a wide rimmed plate, thick stem and broad glass foot. A large dome with fine handle fits on top. For large ckaes, individual cakes or a pile of scones.

Materials & making:

Mouth blown by skilled glassblowers to create a large classic cake stand with dome. The foot of the cakestand is shaped and applied by hand to the stem while the glass is still malleable. The handle on the dome is drawn from molten glass and applied by hand to the dome. The rims of both are melted under a flame to achieve a soft rounded finish.

Care:

Handwash in warm soapy water and dry with a soft cloth.
